About Licensing: FAQ

LICENSING OVERVIEW: When you purchase a license from us it is for the building of ONE boat only. Any additional hulls built from the same file require a 50% fee per boat built to be paid. Upon payment of the licensing fee you will be issued a Certificate Of Authenticity , which will also contain a Hull Identification Number. The COA document grants you access to use our files to build one boat. The Hull Identification Number is to be permanently attached to the upper right corner of the transom and becomes the boats serial number. This is an international requirement and is globally standardized through ISO 10087: 2006

BUYING OR SELLING: Every new or used boat of our design, bought, or sold MUST be accompanied by the Certificate Of Authenticity and Hull Identification Number to be legal. The COA remains with the boat for it's lifetime and is non-transferable. Insurance companies and local authorities will ask for this documentation during registration.

We take copyright infringement very seriously and have a policy of issuing Designers Liens and/or Legal Action against any, and all unauthorized builds.

BUILDERS: Email us for licensing additional builds and production runs. OWNERS: If you have purchased a boat built to our design and suspect that it may not be licensed (It has no COA/HIN) please contact us regarding the builder and we will issue you the proper paperwork to ensure that your boat is legal.
